A big part of the appeal of the Need for Speed franchise is its plush selection of licensed cars. For decades the series has featured dozens of real-world vehicles, and depending on the game, you could customise them completely to suit your street-racing tastes. Need for Speed Unbound, the just-announced new entry, seems to have the biggest car selection yet.
As far as we can make out, Criterion Games' upcoming racer will have the largest car list at launch of any NFS title. The highly stylised racing game is set to feature 143 vehicles on day one, as per the official car list on EA's website. Need for Speed Heat, the previous game in the series, currently has 134 cars, and that's including DLC.
Scanning through the list, it does appear there will be quite a few familiar cars for fans of the franchise. There are some shake-ups, of course. Audi is an unfortunate omission this time, but many cars have been updated to more recent models, and there are obviously a fair few additions. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2020, Lamborghini Countach 2021, and Nissan Z 2022 are new, for example.
You can see the full list through the link. What do you make of the car list for Need for Speed Unbound? Make your selection in the comments section below.

That's nice. Will this one actually be good?
as its 70, it should have lots of cars ....(and removable anime)
I've never been a fan of them introducing super cars into the series. I'd rather modify a Supra, Skyline or VW Golf and progress these cars than have a Koenigsegg or Lamborghini that is pretty 'unmodifiable' straight from the beginning. I complain, but I'll still buy it in the hope that it captures some that Underground/Underground 2 'magic'.
You could say it's a bit of a copy paste list but it's a decent list.
Yes it's got some holes in it but plenty of great cars to choose from.
Really looking forward to this. I just hope it’s as good as it is in my head right now. Haha.
Would be nice to get some gameplay.
@BeerIsAwesome
Me. I’m that guy.
I’m a Toyota and Honda fanboy to my core.
But as long as I can build a stupid fast crap box late 90s Civic to take dumps on Challengers I’ll be satisfied lol.
still not convinced
@GigaGaia Maybe we'll get a showcase soon. Would be a good place to show of gameplay for NFS: Unbound, Dead Space Remake and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Those games alone would be worth tuning in if you ask me.
